Lindsay Lohan on ‘Oprah’

LiLo is having a busy week—and surprisingly a good one. Fresh out of a rehab stint and on the heels of the theatrical release of her film, The Canyons, over the weekend, the actress will be interviewed on a tell-all session on Oprah’s Next Chapter. The monolith TV host released a teaser for her episode—to run on August 18 on OWN—where she asked the troubled starlet questions such as “Are you an addict?” or “What does it feel like to be both an adjective and verb for child-star-gone-wrong?” To add to her busy schedule, Lohan will guest host on E!’s Chelsea Lately tonight. The New Star of ‘Doctor Who’ Announced

All hail the Time Lord! BBC recently named Scottish actor Peter Capaldi as the next and 12th actor to portray the Doctor on the seminal sci-fi series, Doctor Who. The Doctor is able to regenerate into a new body and time-travel with the use of his trusty British telephone booth. However, BBC News points out that if the show is following its narrative by the book, then only 12 regenerations are allowed, so it could mean Capaldi’s regeneration could be the penultimate. What’s also worth mentioning is that Capaldi once portrayed a character named Caecilliusin in a 2008 episode of Doctor Who. [BBC News, Entertainment Weekly]

Daft Punk on ‘Colbert Report’

Fans of Daft Punk will “get lucky” to see them on Comedy Central’s The Colbert Report on August 6 as part of Colbert’s “Colbchella” concert series. It’s unclear whether or not the elusive French duo will perform and/or be interviewed on the show. However, if they do perform, it would be a rare one since they haven’t gotten on stage since 2007! [NME, A.V. Club]
