The 2013 MTV Video Music Awards Shockfest

The Twitterverse went aflutter over this Sunday’s VMA performances—especially with Miley Cyrus’ bizarre good-girl-gone-crazy act where she twerked with a number of life-sized teddy bears (including grinding on Robin Thicke during his performance of “Blurred Lines”). The best part was the facial reactions captured from Will Smith’s family that instantly went viral. It didn’t hurt that Justin Timberlake snagged three Moonmen awards AND then reunited on stage with ‘N Sync. People lost it and everybody’s inner teenage girl squealed inside with delight. Surprisingly, Daft Punk didn’t perform at the awards show despite Stephen Colbert “spilling the beans” about their secret performance earlier this month. [The Hollywood Reporter, The Daily Beast]
