It’s Beyoncé’s world and we’re just living in it. Really, it’s true. In the latest Tumblr obsession, “The Carter Family Portrait Tumblr,” the Photoshop genius behind the blogging site has injected Queen Bey, hubby Jay-Z, heir to the throne Blue Ivy, and friends into classical works of art. The family is royalty after all!
The Tumblr launched on Sept. 7 and there have already been over a dozen pieces of work borrowed from the likes of Leonardo Da Vinci to Andy Warhol. Check out some highlights below and the whole set here.
Oh, you know, farmers Bey-Bey and HOV in “American Gothic” by Grant Wood.
Beyoncé doodling on her iPad–a modern look at Marie Denise-Villers’ “Young Woman Drawing.”
Who better to fiddle than Jay-Z in William Sidney-Mount’s “Right and Left” classical artwork?
If Andy Warhol was still around, he’d switch out the Queen of England with the Queen of the Carters.
“Madonna and Child” or rather “Sasha Fierce and Blue Ivy?”
Maybe a little less unibrow here, but the radiance of Frida Kahlo is still there.
And a star-studded gathering for Leonardo Da Vinci’s “The Last Supper” with Kanye West, President Barack Obama, Oprah, and others icons in tow.
